Retailers do not want you to know your rights and will fob you off, telling you to go to the manufacturer. But if you do that, you wlll lose your rights under the Sale of Goods Act.

This is all kept hush hush, by the retailers not letting anybody take them to court under the act. Obviously, if everyone found out about their rights, the retailer would have to replace a lot of faulty goods. It is far easier to keep happy the few that know their rights, by quietly replacing the faulty goods.

All you need to do is provide them with an independent fault report, that states the problem in a manufacture one and not simple wear and tear.
